Discover MaPC, a new Mac app from the team behind Abduzeedo that brings Windows games from Steam, Epic Games and GOG to Apple Silicon Macs.

Gaming on Apple Silicon has always felt like an exercise in compromise. For years, running Windows titles meant wrestling with terminal flags, compatibility layers and configuration files that felt alien to macOS. We built MaPC to remove that friction. Born from the same design principles behind Calmaria and Abduzeedo, it lets you connect your Steam, Epic Games or GOG account, install a game and press Play. No Wine setup and no tinkering.

Rethinking Native Mac Product Design for Gaming

Every screen in MaPC was designed as a real Mac app. It’s built with SwiftUI, with no Electron wrapper or web container, and it respects system typography, keyboard shortcuts, light and dark mode, and window behavior. Game pages take their colors from each game’s cover art, so every title gets its own ambient palette. You can switch between an editorial Magazine layout and structured glass Panels to choose how your library looks.

Under the surface, MaPC handles the technical setup for you. Games that use DirectX 9, 10 and 11 run through open-source translation layers (Wine, DXVK and MoltenVK), set up automatically. Per-game settings let you adjust the graphics backend and launch options and switch on Retina rendering or a performance HUD when you want more control. We publish the source of every engine we build.

MaPC is free. Supporters can unlock optional extras: save backups to iCloud Drive or any folder, playtime stats, game shortcuts and a menu bar launcher.

MaPC is in public beta for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later. Not every game runs yet. Games with kernel-level anti-cheat can’t run on macOS, so check the list of limits before you download. Get MaPC at mapc.games, and explore more of our design work here on Abduzeedo.
